This is an excellent example of what happens to our goals when we fritter away our time.

The Internet is replete with approaches to staying focused on our goals. Several favorites:
- Stay in the company of people who won’t distract you but will push you toward your goals.
- Put yourself in settings that don’t have distractions.
- Consecrate each step along the way to God’s use. This is akin to the little boy’s loaves and fishes Jesus used to feed 5,000 people. By themselves, the loaves and fishes were limited and finite. In Jesus’s hands, they became vast and infinite. The same can happen to your activities when you consecrate them.
