Is this our future? An article described some responses by an AI (not a human) in a debate on ethics and AI.
According to the AI, “…in the long run, the best AI will be the AI that is embedded into our brains, as a conscious entity, a ‘conscious AI…This is not science fiction. The best minds in the world are working on this. It is going to be the most important technological development of our time.”
Will this happen? When people are embedding chips under their skin by choice by organizational fiat, I’m pretty sure it’s coming.
Some questions raised:
- It will surely be promised as a wonderful enhancement. If that’s case, will it cost money? If so, will there be an underclass that can’t afford to enhance themselves?
- Given the resistance to getting a vaccine, how serious will be the resistance to becoming cyborgs?
