water drop

Young people thinking about their adult futures can be assured work doesn’t have be be a drudge (although, in our imperfect world, there is some drudgery even in pursuing our perfect calling).

Main point: “…the anti-work movement is really anti-reality.”

More about it:

  • “…there is no such thing as non-essential jobs. Every job is important for some reason or another. Someone has to do that work.”
  • “…everyone has to work, but capitalism is a system where anyone can pull themselves up.”

Why it matters:

  • Work, however menial, is a noble undertaking ordained by God.
  • Even the most menial jobs are necessary. Consider what your street would be like if all the garbage collectors disappeared.
